If the future's the future

If the futures the future, wouldn't it already know the path we were going to take for our life? The future would know when we were going to flake out. So technically wouldn't the future always remain the same? I, like many others, would LOVE to believe that the future's always changing, but what if that's not the case? I think we've been fooled by....by the universe!!
